Jews for Jesus Canada values greatly the relationships developed across Canada and the world and seeks to protect the personal information that you share with us, being accountable in how we handle your personal information. Jews for Jesus Canada is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal information entrusted to us by our website users, donors, supporters, employees and others.

Jews for Jesus Canada is a not-for-profit charity, federal registration number 107535023RR0001, and may not be under specific statutory obligation with respect to the protection of the information that you provide to us, depending on where you live. Whether or not any statute applies, our privacy practices are guided by and based on generally accepted privacy principles, as further outlined in this Privacy Policy. Our Terms and Conditions form part of this Privacy Policy.

By engaging with the Jews for Jesus Canada website (“Site”),you agree to our collection, use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. “Personal Information” for purposes of this Policy means any information/data about an identifiable individual.      • Information that has been rendered anonymous, as long as it is not possible to link that data back to an identifiable person;

     • A person’s business contact information that an organization collects, uses or discloses for the sole purpose of communicating with that person in relation to their employment, business or profession;

     • Anonymous or aggregate information that cannot be tracked back to you personally, or business contact information and publicly available information, such as names, addresses and telephone numbers as published in telephone directories,

are not considered to be personal information and therefore not treated so by us.

The Personal Information ThatWe Collect

Personal Information collected by Jews for Jesus Canada may include your name, address, email address, phone number, province, postal code, and other contact information to verify your identify, credit card or bank account or other payment information for donation purposes or for purchasing online products, for registering for any service, information related to the countries or programs that you may wish to support, language preferences, demographic information such as age and gender, communication preferences for marketing purposes, giving, engagement and donation history, details about your engagement experience, behavioral activity and other personal and non-personal information which has been provided by you or your use through your use of our Site, or by third parties.

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Site.Usage data may include information such as your device's internet protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. When you access by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Some hyperlinks on our website include pages that are operated by Canada's partner affiliate Jews forJesus U.S. (jewsforjesus.org). Consent to collect your personal information can be obtained in person, via telephone, mail, through the Internet, through third parties and through various activities and engagement by you with Jews for Jesus Canada.

Use of Personal Information

We collect personal information that you give us directly when you engage us in person, use our website or printed forms, or telephone our offices to:

     • inquire about our activities or beliefs

     • sign up to receive a newsletter

     • request that we speak with a Jewish friend

     • be contacted by Jews for Jesus upon request of a friend

     • donate to us

     • request a Jews for Jesus speaker visit your church

     • make a purchase

     • register for an event

     • create and manage an account on one of our websites

     • engage with our social media

     • complete a survey, questionnaire, or feedback form

     • otherwise provide us with personal data

We use personal information:

     • To process and send you resources you have ordered from Jews for Jesus

     • To process event bookings

     • To provide you with data that you have requested about our work, to provide you with data about other resources, events, or programs we offer that are similar to those you have already purchased or inquired about and to which you have not objected to receiving

     • To respond to inquiries about our activities or beliefs

     • To process any donation(s) we may receive from you

     • To set up standing orders, and one-off card payments

     • To provide you with data about Jews forJesus and how you can support our work

     • To invite you to participate in surveys

     • To notify you about changes to our services

     • To analyze the use of our Site and ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and your device, and for data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our website, products, services, marketing and your experience

No mobile information will be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Any Jews for Jesus international staff or volunteers who have access to your data for systems administration purposes are bound by the same levels of confidentiality as Jews for Jesus Canada staff. If we run an event in collaboration with another named organization, we may need to share your details with them and those who provide services to help us deliver the event.

We use your personal data to provide and improve use of theSite, and for any other lawful purpose not already identified.

We only collect and use your personal information when we have a legitimate reason for doing so. Jews for Jesus Canada does not rent or sell, barter or lease donor, membership or other fundraising lists nor engage in commercial activities. With personal information to any other organization, we may share information with our employees, other Jews for Jesus offices internationally and/or third-party service providers for the purposes of verifying an individual’s identity, to provide support and to complete a financial transaction. When this occurs, we supply only the information that is required to provide the services, and strict terms of confidentiality are established. We may also share personal information where required by law.

Mailing Lists and Newsletters

Jews for Jesus Canada delivers communications to interested individuals through both postal mail and electronic means. Personal information provided to us by you will be used for delivering these communications. At anytime you may choose to opt-out of these communications. Jews for Jesus Canada will only add individuals to newsletters or communications with expressed consent, or implied consent in certain situations, such as when the individual has made a donation or been a member of or volunteer with Jews for Jesus Canada, or otherwise in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). All staff are trained in best practices to combat spam and the threats it can carry (such as malware and spyware), such as not clicking on suspicious links, and keeping contact emails confidential.

We use cookies and similar technologies to track activity on our Site and store certain information. Tracking technologies used are cookies, Google Analytics, and web beacons to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Site service. The technologies we use may include:

Access, Correct or Delete yourPersonal Information

Subject to various limitations, you should be able to know the personal information that Jews for Jesus Canada has and for what use it has been made. You may request this information, and have the opportunity to correct information that is incorrect or inaccurate, and request deletion of your personal information in our possession, unless retention by us is required by law. Withdrawal of Consent

When you give us consent to collect and use your personal information, you can at any time withdraw consent, subject to some restrictions, by notifying us using the email address below in the ‘Contact Us’ section. Withdrawal of consent may impact your use of the Site or service for which you gave consent.

Security and Retention of Personal Information

We are committed to safeguarding personal information through enterprise-grade security controls throughout its lifecycle—from collection and processing to retention and eventual disposal. We implement a layered security approach designed to mitigate risks such as data loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and misuse.

While we employ robust enterprise security measures, including encryption, access controls, and secure transmission protocols, it is important to note that no method of electronic communication or storage is entirely immune to compromise.Nonetheless, we continuously evaluate and enhance our security posture to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Our organization maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information we handle. These safeguards include, but are not limited to:

• Role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure that only authorized personnel     can access personal data.

• Data encryption at rest and in transit using protocols such as AES-256 and TLS     1.3.

• Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for systems handling sensitive data.

• Regular vulnerability assessments and patch management conducted by our IT Department.

Access to personal information is strictly limited to personnel with a legitimate business need, and data sharing is minimized to what is necessary to fulfill the intended purpose. All staff are trained on data protection policies and are required to adhere to confidentiality agreements.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, including compliance with legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our agreements. Children and the Website

Our online services are not directed to or intended for use by minors under the age of 18. Jews for Jesus Canada does not knowingly collect personally identifiable or contact information from any person known by us to be under the age of 18. We may have data on file concerning minors who participate in our programming, but we only collect and store this data when it is provided by the parent or legal guardian of that minor. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from anyone under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

If you are under the age of 18, we must have writtenpermission from your parent or legal guardian before you make a donation, makea purchase, or submit personal information about yourself or others. A parent of any minor providing information to our Site can:

(a) contact us (Contact Us below) and ask to review any personal information about his/her child that we may have collected with use of the Site; and/or

(b) request us to delete the information (if we if have the information in our database).
