If you can see yourself in any of these statements, then it’s time for you to check out Jews for Jesus’ programs for students.
You may know that the organization Jews for Jesus exists to make the messiahship of Jesus an unavoidable issue to our Jewish people worldwide. You may know that we like using creative methods, including music, drama, web and multimedia, to get the message of Jesus to a world that so badly needs to hear it.
But you might not know that this international mission organization began with just a handful of college-age Jewish believers in Jesus living out loud on the streets of San Francisco. And while we’ve gone through lots of changes over the past 30+ years, we still recognize that people who are willing to step up and take risks for God can change the world…no matter how old or not-so-old they are!
If you’re a Jewish believer in Jesus and a college student near one of our branch offices, we’ve designed three programs that will enable and equip you to grow in your identity as a Jewish believer and share your faith with other Jewish people:
Allows you to get to know us a bit better, observe what it’s like to be a missionary and explore the possibilities Jews for Jesus provides via a mentoring relationship.
The next level for those who decide to get more involved includes opportunities for ministry designed to help you prepare for full-time service with Jews for Jesus after graduation.
Let’s say you want to take a break from your studies for a year or so and work full time with us now. This program lets you do that while exploring different, specific areas within our ministry up close…so you can see if Jews for Jesus is for you.
Mentoring: Jews for Jesus staff will help you succeed in school, teach you how to witness to Jewish people and give you one-on-one support and guidance you need at this exciting yet-often-overwhelming time of your life. As part of the mentoring process, you’ll do hands-on work with a local branch so you can see for yourself what ministry is all about.
Ministry opportunities: From summer internships to a thriving camp ministry to full-on evangelistic campaigns in some of the most exciting cities around the world, Jews for Jesus has tons of ways to be involved. You could end up doing street evangelism in London or working on an evangelistic video or writing for one of our publications. The possibilities are limitless.
Money: We know college is expensive (really expensive) and that it’s often difficult for Jewish believers to receive assistance from their nonbelieving Jewish family. We want to do as much as we can to keep you off the ramen noodle diet. Jews for Jesus is pleased to make grants available to qualified students for certain levels of commitment.
